Job DescriptionThere are many roles in which our Cast Members bring Disney dreams to life. Do you want to be part of the magic behind the magic?The Plasterer 200 is responsible to perform functions that include but are not limited to plastering normal finishes and simulated finishes (i.e., rock work, brick, stone wood). The removal and installation of tile brick pavers, concrete and asphalt. This will include shop work, field and rehab work ranging from construction to the intricacies of the refurbishment of. It requires the ability to read blue prints, follow engineering instructions and use normal hand tools and power tools. This position provides support to Engineering, all maintenance teams including attractions, ride and show, and infrastructure facilities.The Plasterer 755 is responsible to perform functions that include but are not limited to model and mold making (fiberglass and silicone), fiberglass repair, and manufacturing and casting parts in materials such as urethanes, epoxies and resins. Those in this position may also include the removal and installation of tile brick pavers, concrete and asphalt, the fabrication of MACON parts and the repair and refurbishment of character heads. This will include shop work, as well as field and rehab work ranging from construction to the intricacies of the refurbishment or model making. It requires the ability to read blue prints, follow engineering instructions and the use of normal hand tools and power tools.   • Able to work with cementitious materials, resins, epoxies, adhesives, acrylics, urethanes, molds, models and basic tools required of plasterer and a typical maintenance type position
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and equipment necessary to accomplish tasks listed previously
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints
  • Able to read, interpret and follow checklists, written procedures and/or processes.
  • Familiar with or have the ability to learn the Computerized Maintenance Management System
  • Excellent communicator (express technical ideas, exchange information with WDI personnel, management, and other Cast Members)
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Plasterer 755:
  • Experience making and using molds (fiberglass and silicone) highly preferred
  • Experience making models
  • Experience plastering, applying or carving simulated finishes in plaster (i.e., rock work, wood, stone, brick, etc.)
  • Ability to work with fine and sensitive character heads while performing repairs or rehabs
  • Experience with cementitious materials, resins, epoxies, adhesives, acrylics, urethanes, molds, models and basic tools required of a Plasterer or a typical maintenance position
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and equipment vital to accomplish tasks listed previously
  • Ability to read, interpret and follow blueprints, checklists, written procedures and/or processes
  • Familiarity with or the ability to learn the Computerized Maintenance Management System (MAXIMO)

  • Have the ability to safely use and maintain basic hand tools, to operate pneumatic and electric powered tools utilizing the proper safety precautions including personal protective equipment, and the ability to operate a man lift, forklift, scissors lift, truck, and both gas and electric powered carts
  • To read blueprints and follow engineering instructions. The ability to use or learn to use MAXIMO (a work order tracking system), as well as to follow check lists to safely handle materials, lock-out and tag-out of attractions, operate department equipment and vehicles and know what actions to take in case of a failure
  • To remove and repair cement, pavers, asphalt and tile, are required to possess a basic knowledge of how to handle and use molds and models (preferable knowledge of how to fabricate molds and models), and must possess the ability to plaster and apply or carve in the plaster simulated finishes (i.e., rock work, wood, stone, brick, etc.)
  • Have the ability to operate a manlift, forklift, scissors lift, truck, bicycle and both gas and electric powered carts
The Plasterer 755 role is responsible to:
  • Be able to safely use and maintain basic hand tools
  • Have the ability to operate pneumatic and electric-powered tools using the proper safety precautions including personal protective equipment
  • Be able to operate a man lift, forklift, scissors lift, truck, bicycle and both gas and electric powered carts
  • Be able to read blue prints and follow engineering instructions
  • Have the ability to use or learn to use MAXIMO (a work order tracking system)
  • Be able to follow check lists to safely handle materials, to lock-out and tag-out attractions, to operate department equipment and vehicles and to know what actions to take in case of a failure

Compensation DetailsThe pay rate for this role in California is $36.00 to $44.93 per hour, which follows the pay scale agreed upon in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
