Apply Immediately; This position will close once sufficient qualified applications have been received.Position SummaryThe Math Program within the Academic Foundations, Essentials, and Gateways (AFEG) Pathway seeks an Instructional Administrative Assistant II (IAA2) to join our team.The AFEG Pathway welcomes students from diverse backgrounds and abilities to study and develop their skills in preparation for various careers and/or transfer to four-year institutions. The IAA2 works with faculty, administrative staff, casual staff, student workers, and Pathway leadership to enhance our students' learning experience by ensuring that classes, events, and facilities are well supported at the Sylvania Campus and the service district. They liaise with various stakeholders to perform a full range of administrative support duties. The IAA2 supports instructional needs (such as scheduling, processing timesheets, and running reports), helps with programming events on campus including logistics (purchases, room, AV, and catering), responds to student inquiries, and oversees assigned projects. IAA2s work independently and respond to a variety of situations. Successful IAA2s make sound decisions regarding whether they are able to provide appropriate support or seek assistance from the lead Instructional Administrative Assistant (IAA3), Faculty Department Chair, or Program Dean.This position will be designated “on-site flex” working four days a week onsite and one day remote.Candidate ProfileThese qualifications, skills and abilities are critical for success in this position.

Minimum QualificationsTo be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).
  • High school diploma or equivalent and three years of administrative support experience or one year in a position equivalent to IAA I.
  • College or business school training may be substituted for up to two years of the administrative experience requirement.
  • Other equivalent combinations of experience and training will be considered.

Starting Salary Expectations The first two steps of the range are: $43,310 to $44,610 per year. Higher salary placement may be available based on qualifications, experience and internal equity.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Work is generally performed in an office environment with frequent interruptions or changes in work flow. Occasional lifting, guiding, or carrying of light-weight materials or equipment may be required. Position involves sitting for extended periods of time while working at a computer terminal. Learned physical skill is required to perform keyboarding and/or ten-key functions.
