- Dog walking and pet sitting duties for regular, one-time, & vacation-care clients, i.e. cleaning, feeding, walking, running, playing, petting, brushing, pet waste clean-up, light housekeeping, medication administration, etc.
- Provide high-quality, professional, and loving care to all pets assigned.
- Communicate with the Frolic office and clients, and provide daily updates & cute pet photos via app.
- Update our team about changes with clients, pets, locations, keys, instructions, etc.
- Be able to keep an attentive eye out for potential issues or problems; provide overall quality care in relation to health and safety of all the pets you work with.
- Additional responsibilities will be highlighted in the interview process and at hire.
- Be a pet-lover who wants to work in the pet care field.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Valid driver's license and reliable & insured vehicle.
- We require full & up-to-date vaccination against COVID-19 as recommended by the CDC.
- Able to consistently and repetitively walk, kneel, squat, bend, lift, push, pull, grasp, and balance while walking/caring for pets.
- Able to lift 60lbs+ from ground to table (for example: lifting a dog from ground into a car) when necessary.
- Able to walk at a moderate-to-fast pace (including hills) for long periods of time.
- Reliable smartphone with data package, messaging, GPS, email, phone, and camera. You will be required to download an app and use it throughout your entire working day with location services activated. *Good battery life or an external battery charger may be necessary.
- Be willing and able to work outside in all seasons/weather/temperatures. *We do provide most necessary gear!
- Possess a high level of patience, calm demeanor, and problem-solving attitude. Things can occasionally go not-quite-as-expected when dealing with pets, so a cool head is a must!
- Strong technology skills; computers, email, phone applications, etc.
- Prepared to handle the occasional stressful or gross turn of events inherent in this field with grace.
- Have an extreme attention to detail regarding written instructions and pet health. We have a responsibility to keep the pets and clients that depend on us safe and happy by following directions.
- Articulate, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to stay on task with little or no supervision.
- Friendly and outgoing personality, able to interact with clients and co-workers in a consistently professional manner.
- Feel comfortable asking for assistance or clarification when facing any issues or uncertainty.
- Confident, direct, honest, & respectful in communicating about needs, concerns, and other issues.
- High energy and even higher integrity is required.
