W2 plus travel expenses in case a candidate needs to travel.Description:Red Hat Advisory ConsultantAs a Red Hat Advisory Consultant, you will be architecting and leading complex projects, contributing to Intellectual Property (IP) and Offer development activities, facilitate "current state / future state multi-discipline workshops, participates in strategic planning with the Accounts Team and Customer project teams, develop solution vision and scope for customer initiatives, work with Customers to troubleshoot and resolve deployment and integration challenges, coach and develop junior consultants while providing oversight on multiple projects.Please note domestic customer travel may be up to 50%.You will:
  • Contribute to the development of customer cloud and virtualization strategies, while facilitating design discussion around proposed architecture
  • Be responsible for serving as a project lead, drive high quality delivery experience for customers including excellent documentation, oral and presentation skills
  • Understand the customers strategic goals, business, and technology challenges quickly and guide the customer to adopt modern cloud and virtualisation solutions
  • Demonstrated expertise as a Red Hat Consultant, proficient in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat OpenStack and Red Hat Ansible Automation, coupled with robust problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Lead the design and implementation of tailored OpenShift and OpenStack solutions, overseeing the end-to-end deployment of Red Hat technologies within these environments and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and applications.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex issues related to OpenShift and OpenStack, conducting root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and delivering continuous support to uphold the stability and performance of these environments.
  • Assist organizations in establishing near term goals and prioritize milestones for their cloud and virtualization program. Factoring in the people, process, and technology aspects of the proposed architecture solution
  • Collaborate with a broad spectrum of customer stakeholders that own a shared Cloud, Security, Enterprise Architecture, and Virtualization responsibility
Essential Requirements
  • 12+ years of professional experience in customer facing IT roles with a bachelor's degree or commensurate experience
  • 5+ years of experience performing client facing assessments, designs and advanced Day 2 Red Hat configuration of cloud platforms, software-defined storage/networks, container platforms, disaster recovery, monitoring, orchestration, microservices, and virtualization
  • Deployment and integration experience across one (1) Hyperscaler (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform) or one Hosting Provider (e.g., Rackspace)
  • Experience with at least one (1) additional hypervisor platform (VMware or Azure Stack HCI/Hyper-V)
  • Advanced knowledge of performing architecture reviews of replatforming from one (1) Hypervisor platform to a Red Hat Platform and/or repatriating from one (1) HyperScaler to an on-premises Red Hat Platform
  • Extensive working knowledge across five (5) of the following cloud architecture layers; Business Management, Self-Service Portal, Orchestration, Container, Integration with HyperScaler, Hyperconverged platforms, and Networking (e.g., Microsegmentation, Containerized Networking, Federation, IDS/IPs, Network Sandboxing, and Global Advanced Load Balancing)
Desirable Requirements
  • Professional Certifications: Must Have (RHCSA) preferred (RHCSE or RHCSE in OpenStack)
