Develop, implement, and maintain the long-range plan for analyzers.
- Oversight of the five-year analyzer project plan
- Obsolescence identification, replacement justification, and management
- Design and oversight of the preventive maintenance (PM) optimization process
- Application of corporate and industry standards and procedures
- Development of analyzer turnaround scope
- Sponsor or provide an analyzer engineering service for capital and expense projects.
- Develop conceptual scopes and write Project Initiation Forms (PIFs) for analyzer projects.
- Generate, review, and approve analyzer packages of assigned projects.
- Execute and approve Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of new analytical systems
- Design analyzer projects/upgrades/modifications to engineering standards and guidelines and ensure corporate requirements are followed.
- Guidance to asset (Technical, Environmental, Production) engineers and specialists
- Assistance to Technical, Environmental, Production, and Maintenance for complex troubleshooting, incidents, and unscheduled events.
- Development of TA (Turnaround), unit outage, and capital project scope and participate proactively in TA core team and project teams through engineering execution support as required.
- Track and report on process area bad actors and work to systematically remove defects in the system
- Lead and/or participate in PHAs and RCFA teams as required
- Lead investigation teams as required by the site incident investigation process
- Mentoring less experienced engineers, participate in the onboarding process
- Active participation in the corporate Process Analyzer Technical Network
- Ensuring correct calibration methods are maintained
- Ensuring that data management systems (such as SAP, INTOOLs, Engineering Drawings, etc.) remain accurate and are updated in a timely manner for assigned projects.
- Maintain MOC sponsor qualification status.
- Ensuring proper update MOC practices are followed.
- Four-year college education or 10 +years of experience
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in instrumentation or process analytics required with degree or 10-12 years of experience without degree
- Advanced knowledge of analyzers required
- Bachelor of Engineering preferred
- 15+ years of experience preferred
