To support the energy transition, GM&T brings environmentally friendly solutions to the clean energy market with hydrogen energy and Bio-Natural Gas for vehicles, refrigerated transport using nitrogen, but also the treatment and injection of Biogas into the energy grid as a local power source.Our Operations Group in Newport is searching for a Chemical Operator to operate production and testing equipment. This Chemical Operator will be working within our Manufacturing Group on a 12-hour shift. The Operator will report directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor.Grade Level, Hourly Rate & Work ShiftGrade Level: US-Hourly-07Hourly rate for this position in Newport, DE is $25.75 per hour.Night Shift "F" Testing/PTResponsibilities:Operate automatic and manual chemical process equipment of varying complexity in accordance w/ operating procedures, including programmable, logic control devicesFollow specifications, job orders, work instructions, recipes and procedures to produce specific products according to our ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality systemPerform complex liquid / chemical batch manufacturing, maintaining a familiarity with a variety of production machinesAbility to work in C1D1 and C1D2 Explosion Proof environments, particularly within the context of hazardous material handling and solvent extractionMonitor and control process variables, such as temperature, pressure, and flow ratesRoute product samples for quality control inspection according to procedureComplete preventive maintenance on a regular, timely basis.
