- Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
- Grasp production team's needs and specifications
- Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes' value and contribution to continuity
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
- Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects
- Create rough and final cuts
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
- Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry's best practices to maximize efficiency
- Work collaboratively and cooperatively with others, committing to a workplace of teamwork, dignity, and respect
- Proven working experience in video editing (Demo Reel/Portfolio Required)
- Solid foundation with editing software programs (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, etc.)
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize daily work efficiently
- Excellent analytical, organizational, project management and time management skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere
- Ability to clearly and effectively articulate thoughts and points
- Proven ability to accommodate evolving responsibilities and last-minute changes
- Recognize opportunities to gather extra clips that can improve the quality of our videos
- Be able to multitask when filming to monitor information that the talent is presenting and make suggestions as needed
- Being actively involved in our off-road industry is a big plus and can lead to more opportunity in the position
- Ability to understand, read, and/or comprehend instructions and directions including different numbers and specifications
- Must be able to work scheduled shift hours
