  • Level I H30A - $36,811.95+
  • Level II H30B - $39,571.76 +
Job-related is occasional. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.We are looking for someone to help us in initiating and processing child support enforcement cases! This is a full-time position eligible for full state benefits.Education and ExperienceChild Support Specialist I:
  • Requirements at this level consist of a bachelor’s degree
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional child support enforcement, accounting, legal, or social work for each year of the required education;
  • OR completion of an associate’s degree in Legal Assistance or a closely related program of paralegal education;
  • OR an associate’s degree in Public Service – Legal Case Management;
  • OR completion of an American Bar Association-approved paralegal education program.
Child Support Specialist II:
  • Requirements at this level consist of a bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional child support enforcement, accounting, legal, or social work for each year of the required education; plus one (1) additional year of professional experience in child support enforcement; accounting, legal or social work
  • OR a master’s degree; or a Juris Doctorate degree;
  • OR an associate’s degree in Legal Assistance or a closely related program of paralegal education and two (2) years of qualifying experience; or an associate’s degree in Public Service – Legal Case Management and two (2) years of qualifying experience; or completion of an American Bar Association-approved paralegal education program and two (2) years of qualifying experience;
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required bachelor’s degree.
Job Responsibilities
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate child support cases for the appropriate establishment and/or enforcement actions,
  • Prepare records of payment, legal pleadings, and correspondence;
  • Update computer records, perform locate activities, document case activity;
  • Negotiate settlements and agreed orders;
  • Mediate between parties and resolve issues relating to child support payments;
  • Monitor and manage case log,
  • And other duties as assigned.
