- Design and implement robust data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into our data platforms.
- Automate data integration and ETL processes using tools such as Apache Airflow, Spark, or Kafka.
- Monitor data quality, identify and resolve data issues, and implement data governance practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend new data technologies, tools, and architectural patterns to improve data infrastructure.
- Contribute to the development of data engineering best practices and standards across the organization.
- Mentor and guide junior data engineers to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar data-focused role.
- Proficient in designing and implementing data pipelines using tools like Apache Spark, Airflow, Kafka, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, or other data engineering programming languages [3]
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, Scala, or other data engineering programming languages [3]
- Familiarity with data engineering best practices, including data versioning, testing, and monitoring.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with agile software development methodologies.
