- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
- Review the work progress on daily basis
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
- Guide homeowners through the entire construction process.
- Create and administer contracts and change orders.
- Perform weekly jobsite meetings and evaluate construction quality.
- Generate project schedules and timelines.
- Generate detailed and conceptual project cost estimates.
- Estimate materials and labor requirements.
- Read and understand construction plans and specifications.
- Monitor and approve all construction cost associated with each project.
- Knowledge and understanding of construction management processes, means and methods.
- Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
- Must be competent at reading and understanding plans.
- Experience in preparing/presenting cost estimates, schedules and services for construction projects preferred.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Project, MS Outlook and other project management software.
- Ability to demonstrate team building, leadership and mentoring skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to supervise the activities of the company’s field carpenters and/or independent subcontractors
- Ability to seek additional responsibility and guidance from company management as needed
- Ability to travel between job sites with own vehicle (reimbursed miles)
