This position is responsible for overseeing construction projects and their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. To serve as the primary contact with homeowners and continually foster a positive relationship with all parties involved. Project Managers generate and monitor cost estimates, prime contracts, schedules, subcontracts, owner and subcontractor change orders RFQ’s and process submittals. Responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling of projects at hand.Responsibilities
  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
  • Review the work progress on daily basis
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
  • Guide homeowners through the entire construction process.
  • Create and administer contracts and change orders.
  • Perform weekly jobsite meetings and evaluate construction quality.
  • Generate project schedules and timelines.
  • Generate detailed and conceptual project cost estimates.
  • Estimate materials and labor requirements.
  • Read and understand construction plans and specifications.
  • Monitor and approve all construction cost associated with each project.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction management processes, means and methods.
  • Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
  • Must be competent at reading and understanding plans.
  • Experience in preparing/presenting cost estimates, schedules and services for construction projects preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Project, MS Outlook and other project management software.
  • Ability to demonstrate team building, leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to supervise the activities of the company’s field carpenters and/or independent subcontractors
  • Ability to seek additional responsibility and guidance from company management as needed
  • Ability to travel between job sites with own vehicle (reimbursed miles)
