At the time of an offer, determination of your offer will reflect your skills and experience as it relates to the position.***Requirements:The primary purpose of your job position is to aid in all dietary functions as directed/ instructed, in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures. Contribute to the philosophy and goals of the organization (i.e., positive, and respectful attitude).POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare and/or assemble food for regular or special diets, deliver trays, food, and food-related products.Clean work areas, walls, floors, benches, tables, shelves, assembly line, refrigerators, food carts, and cabinetsCheck unit kitchens and rotate stock, clean floor refrigerators, and record temperature in temperature book when assigned.Monitor temperatures of products in work areaReturn all tools and equipment to proper storage areas.Assist in serving meals as necessary, and on a timely basis.Assist cook in preparing meals, if requested by Dietary ManagementAssist in checking diet trays before distribution.Deliver food carts, trays, etc., to designated areas.Remove food trays from carts, dining room, etc., and take to dishwashing area.Perform dishwashing/ cleaning procedures.Serve food in dining room as instructed.Prepare and deliver snacks, etc., as instructed.Clean and sanitize all dishes as required, according to procedures.Maintain and monitor dishwashing equipment.Record correct temperatures on QA forms, according to department specs and report any malfunctions to supervisors.Fill pot sinks with hot water and use proper chemicals.Change water as required to ensure proper cleaning and rinsing procedures.Return all pots, pans, and utensils to proper storage areas.Responsible for disposal of all trash and waste accumulated in food service areas.Transport accumulated trash to designated area.Wash trash barrels using proper cleaning solutions at the end of shift.Transport dirty mop heads to laundry and return with clean replacements.Report all accidents and incidents you observe to your supervisor.Record all food and/or equipment temperatures on QA sheets according to policy.Follow work assignments, and/or work schedules in completing and performing your assigned tasks.Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with our established policies and procedures, and as instructed by your supervisor.Notify your supervisor when you will be late or absent from work, according to our established policies and procedures.Cooperate with inter-departmental personnel, as well as other facility personnel to assure that dietary services can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the residents.Meet with your shift's supervisor, on a regularly scheduled basis, to assist in identifying and correcting problem areas, and/or the improvement of services.Wash hands upon arriving for shift and when changing tasks.Wear proper uniform of white collared shirt with black slacks, hairnet, and apron.Wear gloves according to policy; Wear proper hair covering while in the kitchen.Aprons are to be changed according to tasks.Assure that the proper chemical is in use for specific task.Return cleaning equipment and chemicals to their proper storage location when not in use.All food and equipment temperatures are to be logged according to procedure and reported to supervisor when out of range.Clean and sanitize work surfaces regularly and between tasks.Attend and participate in scheduled training and educational classes.Attend and participate in scheduled orientation programs and activities.Serve on, participate in, and attend various committees of the facility as required and appointed by the Director of Nutrition and Dining Services.Other duties as assigned.SAFETY, SANITATION AND ENVIRONMENTALFollow established standard and safety precautions in the performance of all duties.Report to the Director of Plant Operations or Supervisor any hazardous condition or equipment immediately.Participate in all annual mandatory in-services.Participate in environmental, recycling and/or waste initiatives implemented in the facility.RESIDENTS' RIGHTSEmbody and promote a person-centered approach to those we serve.Ensure that you treat all residents fairly, and with kindness, dignity, and respect.
