- Assist with concept generation and evaluation while collaborating with multiple departments
- Produce computer models of concept design for presentation, prototyping and production
- Responsible for the aesthetic and ergonomic design of new product
- Collaborate daily with Research & Development (R&D) Engineering and Product Management teams to develop new products
- Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
- Attend the Annual C-TPAT Security Training
- Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
- Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
- Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary
- Must be skilled in time management, a creative team player, friendly, professional, detail-oriented, honest and a self-starter
- Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
- Work as part of a multi-disciplined cross-functional team
- Ability to visually communicate concepts through visual thinking, sketching, and rendering
- Maintain multiple projects simultaneously
- Prepare and build prototypes
- Use hand tools, standard power tools and standard measuring devices
- Proactively conduct consumer research
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed
- Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement
- Proficiency in sketching and able to clearly communicate ideas
- Basic working knowledge of 3D surface modeling with SolidWorks or similar parametric modeling software
- Basic working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and KeyShot
- Intermediate mechanical aptitude and familiarity with production processes
- Intermediate knowledge of industrial design methods
- Constant and keen awareness of latest industrial design trends and manufacturing processes/techniques
- Basic model making/shop skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks and/or KeyShot preferred
- Lift/push/pull 40 lbs. preferred
- No experience required
- At least 1 year of design experience in an industrial design or R&D environment supporting design, manufacturing and technical processes preferred
- Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred
- Associate Degree in Industrial Design
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design preferred
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future
