Our precision recruiting process aligns the right fit for the right people.We are currently searching for a qualified Desktop Support Technician to join our client for an onsite position in Waukesha, WI.Duties and Responsibilities:Set up and manage user accounts and permissions to access to a networkUphold and test security, blocking unapproved accessChalk out maintenance plan for the prevention of unexpected failuresSet up the organization's computer system to meet specific business goalsMonitor day to day computer performanceUpdate and maintain the computer inventory and equipmentMaintain and resolve issues on LAN / WAN, VoIP telephone, biometric, AV systems connectionsEnsure desktop computers interconnection seamlessly with diverse system keeping in mind for compatibility factorsHelp coordinate with vendors to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and softwareEndorse and apply upgrades to systems to ensure durabilityAssess functional needs to regulate system purchase specificationsResolve hardware and network connectivity issuesValidate & approve VPN access for all remote usersAssist in technical upgrading and maintaining of entire desktop systemsSupport in testing and deployment of new applications and systemsTrain and guide staff hardware and software usageAdvise staff on appropriate procedures for directing their IT-related queries and recommendationsDeliver IT and related assistance upon request, or as you deem suitableConfigure new desktops, routers, modems, and similar devicesPerform routine inspections and upkeep of existing installationsUpdate computer operating systems and other important software, as neededSubstantiate requests for hardware and software purchases and upgradesProvide suggestions on appropriate training for staffSkills and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a computer-centered discipline preferredMinimum 3 to 5+ years of experience as a desktop support technician or equivalentCapabilities needed to deliver in-person and remote IT aidFantastic installation, diagnostic, upgrade, and restoration abilitiesExcellent vertical and lateral thinking, not intimidated by complex problemsSuperb time management skills, able to work independentlyStrong written and verbal communication skillsCompTIA A+ / Network+, Microsoft, and Cisco certifications preferredMCDST (Microsoft certified desktop support technician) preferredMCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) preferredMCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) preferredHDI – Desktop Support Technician Certifications preferredMust be able to pass pre-employment drug screenBasic understanding of Active Directory, Domains & VPN'sExperience with local and network printer supportFull COVID-19 vaccination may be required.We offer a comprehensive benefit package that you can elect into including but not limited to: Health Insurance (Medical, Vision, Dental), 401k, Basic Life/AD&D, Supplemental Insurances Plans, Paid Time Off Plan, Paid Holiday, Paid Sick Leave plan, FSA/HSA Pre-Tax Benefits, Employee Discounts.W2 only, no Corp to Corp.
