- Conduct primary and secondary research on forces shaping our businesses (e.g., macroeconomic factors, emerging technology, portfolio management best practices, etc.)
- Lead financial modeling efforts to guide strategic discussions.
- Provide actionable recommendations based on data-driven findings.
- Develop and present materials that translate detailed analysis into concise narratives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business unit owners, financial planning teams, and division Strategy and M&A teams.
- Assist with strategic, operational, and financial initiatives for portfolio companies as needed.
- Participate in our efforts to strengthen Atlanta’s venture ecosystem with local accelerators and startups.
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or related fields.
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional work experience in strategic analysis and research at a top-tier strategy consulting firm, corporation, or private equity firm. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 4 years’ experience.
- Track record of consistent high-level of achievement.
- Proven record of leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities.
- Self-starter, who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presentations to senior executives.
- Ability to conduct complex research and analysis and present findings in a clear way.
- Structured and logical thinking with the ability to evaluate, filter, organize, and summarize strategic information into actionable recommendations.
- Experience building advanced financial models.
- Strong organizational skills and with impeccable attention to detail.
- Ability to develop sophisticated PowerPoint presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Open minded, flexible, with an eagerness to develop professionally.
- Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Accounting, or related fields.
- Experience with investments or M&A transactions.
- Experience in our sectors of interest.
