- NAV Calculation: Calculate the daily, weekly, or monthly NAV of various investment funds by accurately valuing the fund's assets and liabilities.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for the investment funds.
- Investor Reporting: Generate and distribute periodic reports to investors detailing fund performance, holdings, and other pertinent information.
- Trade Processing: Record and process trades, ensuring timely and accurate settlement of securities transactions within the fund.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of the fund's bank accounts, investment positions, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial practices adhere to relevant regulations and internal policies, including SEC and GAAP/IFRS standards.
- Income Allocation: Allocate income, expenses, gains, and losses to investors according to the fund's structure and agreements.
- Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of the fund's financial activities.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the fund accounting operations.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CFA certification is a plus.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in fund accounting, financial services, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in fund accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Knowledge of investment instruments and financial markets.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prepare clear and concise reports for stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
