POSITION SUMMARY:This position's primary function is the loading of raw material into machines for conversion into finished product.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.· Performing visual and dimensional quality inspections.· Feed Raw Material to assigned machines.· Monitor assigned machines productivity, waste and quality.· Perform minor machine adjustments and repairs as required and overseen by troubleshooter.· Perform and/or assist troubleshooter in machine changeover.· Understand DWK's Quality Policy and relevant Quality Objectives.· Recognize his/her contribution to the effectiveness of the OPS including the benefits of improved performance.· Comprehend the impact or effect of not conforming with the QMS.· May perform any or all of these tasks depending upon work assignment.· Maintain work area in a clean and habitable condition. Observe all safety precautions, rules and regulations.· Additional duties as required by Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager.· Observe all safety precautions, rules and regulations. Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Education and/or Experience: Ability to read and follow instructions. High school diploma or equivalent. Mechanical ability preferred. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Must have ability to work as a team player and ability to determine if product is defective. Written and verbal communication skills. Ability to comprehend and follow written work instructions and product specificationsWORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly (more than 2/3 of the time) required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently (between 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) is required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally (less than 1/3 of the time) required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly (more than 2/3 of the time) lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently (between 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally (less than 1/3 of the time) lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to lift at least twenty-five (25) pounds repeatedly. Requires constant standing, bending, flexing, pushing and pulling. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly (more than 2/3 of the time) exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is exposed to extreme temperatures in a factory environment. The noise level is the work environment is usually loud. Fast paced environment.
