Our goal is to deliver a beautiful client experience to our business bankers, internal partners and clients.This unique position owns the onboarding needs of our Capital Markets business including Derivative Trading, Equity Trading, Loan Syndications, Investment Banking, and M&A.As the leader of a scaling team, the candidate must be open to change, idea sharing, and assure that processes are accurate and well controlled. The candidate should have strong attention to detail, keen problem solving skills, and communicate effectively with both external and internal clients.Day to day, this leader will work with their team to ensure we meet our specifications for quality and timeliness as we work to onboard new clients and counterparties across all our Capital Markets business lines. The candidate should feel comfortable engaging with multiple partner groups, like Compliance and Legal teams, to translate regulatory requirements into operational processes that protect the company as we support the growth of the business lines. Given the highly regulated nature of the work, this leader will be engaged in Audit and exam support as a key component of the role.Responsibilities:Swap Dealer Regulatory Onboarding:Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the team, including serving as a key point of escalation. Oversee daily control reports and rapidly triage and escalate complex issues or non-compliance as appropriateSupervise and facilitate the regulatory onboarding of new derivatives counterparties in an efficient, compliant, and client-centric manner by coordinating with clients to obtain required onboarding documentation. Liaise across functions to ensure pre-trade compliance, as well as ongoing maintenance of updated information for each counterpartyManage electronic (Markit counterparty platform) and paper onboarding process to ensure regulatory compliance; Facilitate ISDA Protocol Adherence Letters and QuestionnairesDrive consistent and up to date onboarding policies and proceduresKey to the development, structuring and roll out of new technology, intelligent automation and tactical process changes required to drive improvement in onboarding activities and ensure compliance with regulatory reform impacting the businessSecurities Onboarding:Manage all Securities customer onboarding activities and operations regulatory supervisionManage customer onboarding and KYC for Capital One Financial Broker DealersManage manual screening processes (Bridger Web)Escalation point for Broker Dealer, Investment Bank, Sales, Research and Trading and Mergers & Acquisitions onboarding questionsLead integration and process enhancement initiativesManage issues and events remediationOwn and perform KYC related controlsCollaborate with Risk, KYC, Compliance and AML to ensure all processes and procedures are updated on a regular basisBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or Military experienceAt least 5 years of Capital Markets experience, with exposure to Derivatives onboarding and documentationAt least 3 years of People Management experiencePreferred Qualifications:5+ years of Securities experience, with a focus on onboarding requirements7+ years of Derivatives Onboarding experience, including knowledge of associated derivative regulationsSIE and FINRA Series 7 or Series 993+ years of experience with ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes, or ancillary documents, including confidentiality agreements, legal opinions, guarantees, control agreements and risk participation agreements7+ years of experience implementing or improving processes and associated controls3+ years of experience leading through change, including driving execution5+ years of KYC and AML experienceAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.How our hybrid model works:This role is hybrid meaning associates typically spend about half their time (2-3 days per week) in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting.
