We’d love to hear from you.About the position:The Healthcare (“HC”) team is part of ING’s Telecom Media Technology (“TMT”) & Healthcare Sector Coverage. We focus on supporting our clients in the Americas region in two distinct ways: 1) origination and cross-sell efforts of ING products and network, for all clients (primarily Investment Grade); (2) fee generating lead-lending business primarily for cross-over ratings. This role’s primary focus will pertain coverage and cross-selling ING’s many product solutions in the healthcare space (Pharma & Outsourced Services, Medical Devices & Diagnostics, Distributors). There is also an opportunity to support coverage and lead-lending opportunities withing the broader TMT & HC cluster, where appropriate.Responsibilities :
  • New Deal Origination/Execution Support: Support MDs, Directors and VPs in the HC Team in the coverage, origination, and cross-selling of ING products and solutions, with an emphasis on the North American Healthcare space. Responsibilities include but are not limited to onboarding of clients/ borrowers, industry & market analysis, preparing pitches and presentations for new opportunities related to debt capital markets, financial markets, transaction services, capital structuring, greenlight memos, credit and written summaries for new lending transactions (jointly with our Transaction Management Lending team), participation in the credit application process, and assisting in the maintenance of industry and market intelligence databases.
Requisite Skill Set:
  • Strong academic track record with Undergraduate or Masters from accredited university or college
  • Strong credit analysis background, basic knowledge of credit structuring preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be highly detail-oriented and accurate
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint): Excel and Powerpoint skills are most relevant
  • Fundamental understanding of GAAP accounting principles and comfort with core financial statements (Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement and Balance Sheet)
  • Fundamental understanding of key financial markets and products
  • Team Player, self-motivated and proactive
Qualifications and Competencies
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering or Math
  • Experience: minimum of 4 years of relevant coverage and/or credit experience, ideally in the North American Healthcare market
  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Series 79/63 preferred but not required
