- Assists in the evaluation, documentation of current and future state workflows to test efficiency and effectiveness to transform, hardwire and transition to technology/ automated performance.
- Understands revenue cycle content, needed outcomes and system navigation to advise optimal workflows.
- Tests, validates, creates documentation, operating procedures and monitors outcomes of newly created workflows with department team to optimize design.
- Functions as an active participant on implementation teams; trains on new technologies and new and improved features and functionality, independently addresses end-user adoption issues and proactively resolves them.
- Develops and delivers training curriculum to support project/ workflow objectives.
- Acts as a change agent within the organization and motivates end-user adoption.
- Proactively develops adoption plans, in conjunction with clinicians and project teams; plans will focus on communications, training, coaching, sponsorship and resistance management to ensure 100% user adoption of the new technology and workflow implemented as part UH projects.
- Collaborates with operational and clinical leaders, senior project coordinators, PMO and others in forming and communicating the vision of positive and necessary change inherent to the implementation of the workflow projects
- Proactively identifies workflows; logs to central Operations Work Front and helps to prioritize work that needs to be completed.
- Adheres to strict timelines.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Lean/ Six Sigma Preferred
- 5+ years healthcare or project experience with a strong emphasis on change management required.
- Understanding of revenue cycle functions, hand offs and system navigation to proactively lead in improving efficiency and effectiveness of work processes and system optimization/ enablement.
- Experience interacting with all levels of management and staff to transform work flow processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Strong system savviness and adept to translating manual work to system automation and processing
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and maintain confidentiality.
- Must be able to communicate with a wide variety of end users, with varying skill levels and function effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills required.
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills a must.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver executive level presentations required.
- Relevant electronic medical record experience preferred.
