Offer DescriptionThe thesis is framed in the doctoral network (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions) HumanIC: Human - Centric Indoor Climate for Healthcare Facilities. The thesis focuses on the experimental study and development of reduced models for complex flows in hospital environments. The predoctoral researcher will design an instrumented mock-up of a surgery operating room with optical access to measure the fluid field with laser velocimetry. From the field measurements he/she will be able to develop a reduced model of the flow. In addition, probes will be used to estimate the instantaneous flow field in the surgery room by correlating the probe measurements with the fluid field model. Finally, algorithms will be developed for real-time flow estimation in the operating room.RequirementsResearch Field Engineering Education Level Master Degree or equivalentSkills/QualificationsDesired skill/qualifications for Ms. candidates (to develop a PhD thesis at UC3M)
