- Oversee the Group’s monthly, quarterly and annual close process and ensuring all Volaris and CSI deadlines are met and deliverables are of high quality.
- Work with the Group Manager, General Managers and Department Leads to finalize, deliver, and present the quarterly forecasts for the company, with a goal of +/- 5% forecast accuracy.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPI) for all departments and overall VBUs. Monthly communication of financial performance is expected including the creation of scorecards and other reports. This will include aspects of the business such as Growth, Profitability, Bookings, Backlog, Attrition, etc.
- Ensure compliance with necessary accounting principles (US GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
- Review significant customer RFP responses and quotes and provide insight on pricing, as well as review of final customer contracts to assess accounting impact in accordance with relevant accounting principles.
- Review, adjust and maintain a strong Finance internal control environment. This includes continuous updating and improving the Group’s Risk Control Matrices, as well as fully documenting the financial controls in place for the internally developed ESP project system.
- Oversee Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual and Annual Sales & Use Tax or Business Tax filings, as well as periodic Secretary of State filings in the USA.
- Oversee the treasury and cash forecasting process.
- Manage a small team of accountants and administrative personnel.
- Work closely with other internal teams to embed financial understanding at all levels across business units.
- Implement a change management culture by challenging and replacing established processes and procedures where necessary.
- Assistance with ad-hoc assignments from the Group Manager.
- Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and can be trusted to prioritize independently.
- Some travel may be required. Candidate must be able to travel globally.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field required
- CPA or other relevant qualification desired
- Thorough understanding of US GAAP for Software Revenue is ideal; with understanding of IFRS 15 a bonus
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel is a must
- Experience with systems such as Great Plains or any large-scale accounting software is beneficial
- 5 years of related job experience is required
