About the job Geo Engineering - Chief Eng., Geoscience Database & ApplTo analyze, develop, integrate and implement procedures and technology solutions in, but not limited to, geo engineering operations, mining supports and database system operations within assigned area in order to assist Geo Engineering division and its partners to achieve their objectives through efficient utilization of technology, integrated data, and better business process in compliance with the wide MIS corporate system.The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:1. Provides expertise in application design, database design, and solution supports.2. Conducts requirements gathering activities with clients from internal and external of the division.3. Deep involvement in the development of solutions with the development team, mostly contractors, using acQuire, Microsoft SQL Server, Java, VBA/Basic, Python, Android mobile, data science and other mainstream technology platforms in Windows environment.4. Provide supports to clients that requires our technology solution development expertise. Supports acQuire database modification, data query requests from internal division for various purposes.5. Document the deliverables in proper way to ensure all knowledge are kept within the organization while providing evidence to users.6. Participate in solution implementation and change management process in client area. Evaluate the utilization of developed solution when necessary.7. Work closely with MIS to ensure all solutions developed by the group comply with IT policies set by the company.8. Provide timely information to keep supervisors informed of progress, problems, and proposed solutions on a regular basis.9. Keep up to date with industry standard practice of geologic, mining and information technology through continuous learning activities and technology implementation to ensure that best practices are always used in Geo Engineering area.10. Understand and be aware of safety and environmental practices in the work area ensuring safe work practices for you and working colleagues and compliance with company Safety and Environmental SOPs.The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree preferably in Geosciences field with at least 3 years' experience in the mining industry with exposure to information technology tasks or IT major with minimum 5 years-experience in mining or exploration industry.

Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Characters)

Advanced knowledge in C#, Java, Basic, Python programming languages.
Intermediate level of SQL query language and MS SQL Server technology
Intermediate level application design, e.g. object oriented, concept
Intermediate level mobile app development skills and experience using Android platform
Basic to intermediate level knowledge and experience in data science field
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Excellent human relations and presentation skills.
Analytical thinking.
