- Provide analysis and prepare all aspects of inventory and manufacturing costing information.
- Spend time on the plant floor observing activities to analyze information.
- Report to the controller and assist in the development of financial information with the objective of improving operational efficiency.
- Handle month-end closing duties and conduct reconciliations/ analysis of inventory.
- Conduct analysis of income statement to the gross margin level.
- Analyze standard cost of scrap, sales, reserves, variances, and conduct inventory cycle count adjustments.
- Monitor and oversee subcontractor and intercompany inventory transactions.
- Maintain routings within the ERP system.
- Oversee and manage inventory part master.
- Maintain the inventory standard cost system.
- Communicate with various departments to ensure accurate updates related to product changes.
- Perform cost roll-ups to demonstrate changes in standard costs.
- Prepare inventory part costings for new products.
- Assist manufacturing team in developing relevant metrics.
- Monitor and measure manufacturing performance.
- Assist departments on measure to improve costs.
- Assist Plant Manager with analysis of the annual budget.
- Engage in the annual external audit.
- Communication with the auditors and schedule visits.
- Work alongside other finance staff in providing comprehensive financial information to management.
- Provide metrics to facilitate profitable business growth.
- Maintain and track progress of KPIs to established targets.
- Travel to other plant locations as needed.
- Assist other financial personnel for absence coverage.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience.
- Must have experience with MRP and ERP systems.
- Experience with cost accounting for manufacturing industry.
- Competence with metric and imperial systems.
- Familiar with variance analysis.
