Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, OB-GYN Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility

- Primary responsibilities include working collaboratively with Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility physicians and providing comprehensive care to patients.
- Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
- Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
- Monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Collaborate with other providers and members of the health care team in delivery of care and make appropriate referrals when needed.
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans.
- Facilitate staff, patient, and family decision making using evidence-based practice
- Participate in research and development projects for the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Participate in education of nurse practitioners, nurse practitioner students and medical students.
- Perform history and physical examinations in the inpatient and outpatient setting; write progress notes and narrative discharge summaries
- Order laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures; explain the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient
- Prescribe necessary treatment and services for quality patient care.
- Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Participate in basic science and clinical research projects conducted by supervising physician; prepare statistical reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
- Participate in teaching medical students and physician assistant students in techniques and procedures which are unique to specific clinical setting.

- Master’s degree in nursing and graduation from an ANA approved Nurse Practitioner Program.
- Active Ohio APRN license with prescriptive authority.
- Active Board Certification in appropriate nursing specialty.
- Three (3) years nursing experience.
- Additional related work experience may be required depending on specialty/sub-specialty.
- Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Active Ohio Physician Assistant license with prescriptive authority.
- Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience is required.
- Additional related work experience may be required depending on specialty/sub-specialty.
