- Current Montana Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certificate required.
- Current CPR required as applicable to assigned area(s)
- Previous work experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Additional certifications as applicable to assigned area(s):
- Home Health Aide certification preferred or must successfully obtain within six (6) months of hire.
- Possess an understanding of the confidentiality laws that govern the provider-patient relationship, including but not limited to HIPAA guidelines.
- To be eligible for the Driver portion of the position:
- Current Driver’s License required.
- Driving record for the previous thirty-six (36) months must not reflect any major driving offenses (i.e; DUI, convicted of a felony involving a motor vehicle, suspended license, three (3) or more speeding tickets or other moving violations, etc.).
- In addition, personal vehicles used for LH business:
- State law minimum liability coverage limits required.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
- Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
- Delivers and assists in delivery of basic patient care under the guidance and direction of assigned leadership and as applicable to assigned area(s).
- Communicates with assigned leadership in an effort to coordinate workloads and patient priorities.
- Performs accurate CNA assessment while taking patient’s vital signs. Informs appropriate stakeholders of any abnormal vital signs and/or changes in the patient’s condition, per department protocol and as applicable to assigned area(s).
- Maintains patient privacy as defined by Logan Health policies and procedures.
- Assists patient with activities of daily living as applicable to assigned area(s).
- Accurately and timely documents the care rendered to the patient as defined by department procedure and as applicable to assigned area(s).
- Assists in maintaining function by maintaining inventory, restocking of rooms, supply areas, maintains equipment for safety and cleanliness, as applicable to assigned area(s).
- Assists with maintaining compliance with Medicare and all applicable regulatory standards.
- Works with appropriate stakeholders to set and maintain priorities for patient care tasks.
- Assists in administrative duties and day-to-day operations per department procedure and as applicable to assigned area(s).
- Promotes a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient, provides personal care per department procedure and as applicable to assigned area(s).
