We are currently looking to hire an experienced Project Manager for a growing tunnel/underground division.Would you be interested in joining an established tunnel/underground division at the start of major expansion?Want to work for one of North America's largest and fastest growing general contractors?As Tunneling Project Manager you will oversee and lead large-scale tunneling projects from start to finish. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution, while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.What's in it for you?

What will you be doing?
  • Lead the planning and development of tunneling projects, including scope definition, budget estimation, and schedule development.
  • Manage project budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring cost control and timely allocation of resources.
  • Lead and mentor a team of project engineers, supervisors, and field staff, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proactively identify and address project issues or conflicts, implementing effective solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates on project status, milestones, and any relevant issues.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports, maintaining accurate records for project archives.
  • Participate in project meetings, reviews, and presentations, representing the project team and providing input on strategic decisions.
What do you need?
  • Relevant engineering or construction degree - Bachelors or Masters
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction, with a focus on tunneling/underground projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Understanding of safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements relevant to tunnel construction.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CMIT (Certified Master of Infrastructure Tunneling) are a bonus
