- Lead the planning and development of tunneling projects, including scope definition, budget estimation, and schedule development.
- Manage project budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring cost control and timely allocation of resources.
- Lead and mentor a team of project engineers, supervisors, and field staff, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proactively identify and address project issues or conflicts, implementing effective solutions to keep the project on track.
- Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates on project status, milestones, and any relevant issues.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports, maintaining accurate records for project archives.
- Participate in project meetings, reviews, and presentations, representing the project team and providing input on strategic decisions.
- Relevant engineering or construction degree - Bachelors or Masters
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction, with a focus on tunneling/underground projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from conception to completion.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Understanding of safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements relevant to tunnel construction.
- Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CMIT (Certified Master of Infrastructure Tunneling) are a bonus
