Mō te tūranga - About the role
  • You'll be part of a team led by six ORL Consultants and covering all major subspecialty areas
  • In addition to experiencing ear, nose, and throat conditions and their management, there is the opportunity, through our high volume of head and neck skin cancer work, to become familiar with common modes of reconstruction, including local flaps and skin grafts
  • A supportive learning environment through a high level of Consultant Supervision during clinics and operating theatre sessions
  • Providing a good background in ENT - essential if you are considering applying for a position on the Surgical Training Scheme in ORLHNS
Mōu ake - About youOur ideal candidate will have:
  • registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council's website at
  • a minimum of two years post qualification and possess a strong interest in ENT.
It is a requirement of the Medical of New Zealand Council that your qualifications are approved through EPIC. If you have a commitment to working in New Zealand, it is highly recommended that you start this process as soon as possible to allow your subsequent registration to be undertaken in a timely fashion.
