- Provides Project Management activities for Capital and Major Expense projects as assigned.
- Provides power system support expertise which includes engineering, design, and operations support of generators and auxiliary systems, excitation systems, high voltage power distribution systems, arc flash analysis, digital and electromechanical relay protection, programmable logic controllers, and distributed control systems.
- Provide practical project engineering and design expertise utilizing incumbent's education and training on all projects or sub-projects assigned. Completes necessary calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, etc. as assignment requires according to approved time schedule and engineering budget.
- Communicates his/her project activities with other project members and operations and support personnel to minimize conflicts and delays in project schedule.
- Reports activity and cost status on assigned projects, analyzing results against schedules, budgets, and desired operative objectives recommending corrective action for variances when required.
- Assures that engineering output is in compliance with existing statutory codes, company policy, and safety standards.
- Maintains professional competence and knowledge of developments in processes, emerging technology and products through consultation with other company technical and professional personnel as well as industry peers.
- Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least three (3) years experience in project engineering or related field.
- Experience with power generation and high voltage power distribution systems a plus.
