Job Title: Assistant Director of Non-Certified TradesReports To: Director of OperationsJOB QUALIFICATIONSEducation: High school education or equivalent. College degree from an accredited college or university
with a major in business, school administration, logistics or related field related to Facilities functions
preferred.Certification or Licensure: Must possess a valid state driver's license.Skills: Must be knowledgeable of State and Federal regulations concerning Facilities. Must be
knowledgeable about the county school system structure and function of each department. Strong
decision-making ability, budget experience, proven performance, and resource management skills. Ability to effectively lead, organize, and direct the work of others. Demonstrated ability to design and implement short and long-range objectives. Ability to relate to a wide variety of people and to observe, listen, and provide leadership, which results in the best possible work environment. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.Work Experience: Minimum five years of supervisory and/or administrative experience working in a
facilities-related area.PRIMARY DUTYThis position is responsible for coordinating assignments and placement of Non-Certified trades.
Maintain a properly trained and equipped workforce. Inspect worksites for quality and productivity.
Coordinate workflow with the Director of Operations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Assist principals and department heads with maintenance and facilities issues.
2. Coordinate with the Director of Operations workflow.
3. keep abreast of construction standards at State and Federal levels.
4. Remain aware and current on school programs - Special Education, Vocational and Kindergarten
5. Maintain roofing warranties and repair schedules.
6. Make recommendations for capital improvements.
7. Maintain long-term replacement schedule for items, such as roof replacement and painting
schedule.
8. Ensures conformity with all appropriate Georgia and Federal Law, State Board of Education, and
Richmond County Board of Education Policies, Rules, and Regulations.9. Interview potential employees and make recommendations to the Director of Operations.
10. Evaluate employee's performance.
11. The employee shall carry out such other and further duties, whether specifically listed above or not,
as are assigned or required by such employee's supervisor, other appropriate school personnel, law
board policy administrative regulation, department handbook, as are reasonably necessary to the
