Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, Visa Consulting and Analytics solves the most strategic problems for our clients.The Brazil Consulting Practice within VCA provides consulting and solution services for Visa’s largest issuers, merchants and acquires in Brazil. We apply deep expertise in the payments industry to provide solutions to assist clients with their key business priorities, drive growth and improve profitability.The VCA team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services to deliver solutions that address unique challenges in areas such as improving profitability, strategic growth, customer experience, digital payments and managing risk.The VCA team is looking for a Senior Manager to join our consulting practice and play a role in delivering high impact strategic projects for Visa’s clients in Brazil. The potential candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery and implementation of projects and solutions with Brazil Merchants and Acquirers. This person will develop initiatives to promote sustainable and profitable growth, thereby ensuring that Visa is both, the preferred brand and unique business partner.Potential engagements could include Project management, Customer acquisition, Customer life cycle optimization, Retention enhancement, Benchmark analysis, profitability enhancement.Specific responsibilities include:Develop a sustainable relationship with Clients (Brazil Merchants and Acquirers) with an ethical, empathetic approach and with the purpose of co-developing and proposing constructive projects.Proactively engage with Visa teams in regular strategic & planning discussions, cultivate and manage a pipeline of work with Issuers and Digital Banks.Lead consultancy initiatives and contribute to closing engagement by identifying potential opportunities in lifecycle management from new customer acquisition to retention strategy.Identify Client’s pain points aligned with brand strategy, develop, and implement action plans to maximize revenue and client engagement.Lead the gathering and analysis of information, support the formulation and testing of hypotheses to address client business problem.Produce insights, analyses and recommendations to improve client performance, boost growth, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic guidance for client priorities across the verticals and segments.Support the development of frameworks, approaches, solutions and recommendations that effectively and efficiently address the most impactful opportunities and challenges.Build solutions and actionable insights that will help clients to grow their portfolios and customer engagement in their core business.Leverage Visa’s innovation, product and data capabilities to further grow our clients’ business by working together with the sales and product teams as well as the Visa Innovation and Data Sciences team.Help scale the function by shaping frameworks, methodologies, processes and required operational enablers to drive business growth and efficiencies on behalf of our partners.Successfully collaborate with peers in other functional areas (marketing, sales, risk, innovation) to execute projects and deliver value for clients.Ability to effectively analyze data sets (industry and Visa) to determine meaningful insights and recommendations for clients.Candidates for the position should exhibit self-motivation, a high level of energy, and meticulous attention to detail.High intellectual capability evidenced by solid analytical skills to update opportunity models, business insights, etc.Experience in financial or payment services gained ideally in consultancy practice, payment scheme, Retail Merchant, Acquirer, or retail bank.Lead consulting initiatives and contributes to closing engagement by identifying potential opportunities with Merchants and Acquirers.Good understanding of payments business and transaction flows and Visa Product Set and an understanding of Merchant/Acquirer portfolio management practicesSelf-starter who actively plans next steps with problem solving skills and curiosityExcellent verbal and written EnglishGood presentation and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to comprehend and convey complex business information.Willingness to travel throughout the covered markets as needed and the ability to work across functions and markets.This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 3 days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.QualificationsBasic Qualifications,
  • 8 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications,
  • Prior experience at large management consulting firm or Brazil Merchant and/or Acquirer
  • Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
  • Self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently
  • Excellent communication, story-telling and presentation skills
  • Ability to use both formal and informal influencing skills inside and outside the organization
  • Accomplished range of skill from high-level critical thinking to working with external partners
  • Ability to collaborate and lead in a team environment
  • Experience in Account management is a plus
