- Own the regular operation and maintenance of the investment portfolio forecasting model in Moody's GGY Axis to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and relevance under changing market and portfolio conditions
- Conduct detailed forecasts of all components of total return, including investment income and realized and unrealized gains and losses, leveraging quantitative techniques and financial analysis
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within the investment portfolio; provide insightful analysis to support investment decisions and strategy
- Assist in the preparation of comprehensive reports and presentations to senior management explaining forecast results, attribution from actuals, and implications on investment strategy
- Work closely with Investment and Enterprise risk management, portfolio managers, and other FP&A teams to align forecasts with overall business objectives and capital requirements
- Stay abreast of market trends, economic indicators, and other relevant information that may impact investment forecasts; incorporate macroeconomic scenarios and portfolio strategy analyses into forecast models
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of all forecasting results and activities
- Implement model updates and keep detailed change logs
- Foster a collaborative, matrix-oriented team environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement
- Proven expertise building and maintaining financial forecasting models (required) specific to investment returns (preferred)
- Proficiency with financial modeling software and advanced Excel, MS Office skills (required)
- 4-year degree in finance, economics, statistics, or related field (preferred)
- Direct experience in quantitative or statistical modeling for investment or financial analysis (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, investment strategies, and portfolio management principles
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities.
- Strong working knowledge of financial and accounting concepts. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality. High degree of professionalism and integrity.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences both technical and non-technical.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Efficient time management and organization skills. Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with Moody's GGY Axis actuarial software extremely desirable
- Power BI experience highly desirable
- Programming experience in SQL, Python, R, Matlab or other analytical languages desirable
- No Certification, License or Registration is required for the job.
