- Develops, executes, and supports clinical research projects with mentorship from the ARI Epidemiologist and the Research Area Director and Deputy Director.
- Develops statistical analysis plans; works with databases and programming staff to develop data sets; and conducts analyses for the clinical research projects.
- Prepares and presents research findings at conferences, through publication in peer-reviewed medical journals, and in reports to USU, DoD, sponsors, and others.
- Assists in the preparation of new clinical research protocols and amendments.
- Assists with ARI program direction and management activities.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include participation in required training for role.
- Doctoral degree required.
- Minimum of 0-5 years experience required.
- Experience in the design, conduct, and analysis of epidemiologic (e.g. observational, longitudinal cohort) studies; statistical analysis of longitudinal data; SAS, STATA, or R proficiency required.
- Knowledge of biomedical science and clinical research; prior experience in infectious diseases preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form; ability to make effective presentations.
- Publication in peer-reviewed medical journals preferred. Ideal candidate will have an interest in data visualization.
- This position will take place primarily in a telework setting.
- The likely salary range for this position is $50,100-$64,000 annually based on a 40-hour work week. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
- Final salary will be determined based on market analysis, experience, and education.
