- Receiving and Inspection: Receive and unload incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Inspect received items for damages and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Stock Management: Organize and maintain inventory in an efficient and accessible manner. Rotate stock to ensure the oldest products are used first (first in, first out - FIFO). Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Order Picking and Packing: Accurately pick items from shelves based on order requirements. Pack and prepare orders for shipping, ensuring items are properly secured for transit. Label packages with appropriate shipping information.
- Shipping and Receiving: Prepare shipping documents and arrange for transportation as needed. Coordinate with carriers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of outgoing shipments.
- Quality Control: Ensure all outgoing shipments meet quality standards. Report and quarantine defective products.
- Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in the warehouse. Comply with company policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a warehouse worker or similar role.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
- The job may require extended periods of standing, lifting, and repetitive movements.
- Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures.
