- Knowledgeable on baking techniques and how to properly make all recipes to create products that are consistent in flavor, texture, and size. Maintain good quality control.
- Knowledgeable on measuring, mixing and creating all daily bread products.
- Understands weekly menu/bread needs and timing to complete tasks.
- Assist with developing new ideas for different options for bread.
- Communicate effectively with Kitchen Manager, Head Baker and kitchen staff to ensure proper execution of duties.
- Keep workspace and machines organized, clean and sanitized.
- Properly label and store items accordingly.
- Understands food handling and safety procedures.
- Assist with other baking duties and projects as time allows.
- Understands daily vegan and gluten free dessert options for guests.
- Document product that is thrown out or expired accurately on the designated sheet.
- Ensure ovens, microwave, mixers and other bakery equipment is deep cleaned weekly.
- Ensure trash is emptied regularly and properly disposed of.
- Keep walk-in, freezer and bakery areas clean and organized.
- Calculate accurate amounts of ingredients and products needed for recipes.
- Be available to Head Baker for all needs and requests.
- 1 - 2 years of experience in food service.
- 1 - 2 years of cooking experience, preferably buffet style restaurant.
