DescriptionPosition Detail:Grants Manager, Full Time, typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some flexibility is needed for community event participation. Some evening and weekend availability required.Salaried, Exempt.Position Summary:The Grants Manager develops proposals and ensures deliverables for all Federal, State, private and corporate foundation grants are met, including adhering to approved budgets, timelines, and strategic plans. Works under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer with interdepartmental support from Directors and managers. Works in tandem with the Grant Writer/Coordinator. The mission of the Grants Manager is to acquire money and other resources and to contribute to program success by ensuring the following: 1) compliance with all funders, district, local, state, and federal requirements; 2) timely completion of grant deliverables; 3) full engagement of grant partners; and 4) appropriate expenditures within approved grant timelines and budgets.RequirementsEducation:Bachelor's degree or Master's in Project Management, Business, Social Sciences, Healthcare, or otherwise applicable field.Licensure/Certification/Registration:Certification in grant writing or project management preferred.Experience:Experience in grant writing, and/or grant management, preferred. Rural health experience and/or interest in public health, preferred.Job Knowledge:Ability to efficiently perform duties with minimal supervision and within designated deadlines. Ability to retrieve, communicate, and present data and information both verbally and in writing. Must be able to express and/or exchange ideas in a professional manner. Ability to use independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload/projects. Detail oriented. Must have ability to organize, direct, and speak at public meetings and interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and the public. Maintain confidentiality.Skills:Requires advanced writing and communication skills. Multi-task management skills. Highly organized with superb attention to detail.
