- Estimated Starting Salary Range for Mechanic IUH-60 Blackhawk Mechanic III: Pay commensurate with experience.

- Responsible for performing progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar scheduled inspections according to all applicable technical publications and regulations.
- Prepares and maintains aircraft maintenance records I/A/W DA Pam 738-751 in the Aircraft notebook (ACN) system. To include the following modules: aircraft logbook module, backshop module, phase module.
- Performs all maintenance I/A/W appropriate Maintenance Manuals (I.E. Technical Manual (TM), AVUM Level, AVIM Level, DEPOT Level's, MEC's, Safety of Messages (SOF), AMAM messages).
- Responsible for repairs and maintenance on aircraft systems and subsystems, to include the lubrication of required components and the removal and installation of aircraft subsystems, using special tools and equipment as required.
- Completes diagnostics and troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft subsystems; maintains aircraft technical publications, historical forms, and records relative to aircraft maintenance.
- Removes and installs aircraft subsystem assemblies and components such as engines, rotors, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and their components.
- Inspects jet engine turbine blades to detect cracks, distortion, corrosion, burn-out, security, or breaks, tests engine operation.
- Read and understand mechanical manuals and schematics and read and interpret all instruments.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background investigation.

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 10+ years of UH-60 Mechanic experience required.
- UH-60 (15T) course graduate required.
- A/P certification preferred.
- Is required to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring and uncomfortable position.
- Frequently lifts parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.
- Occasionally lifts objects up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
