Position: Grain Terminal Operations TechJob Type: Full-timeOperations Tech Responsibilities: * Grain Handling: Efficiently handle incoming and outgoing grain shipments, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain grain handling equipment, including conveyors, loaders, and scales.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and assess grain quality, conducting regular inspections to identify and address any issues promptly.
  • Inventory Management: Keep accurate records of grain inventory levels and assist in conducting periodic physical inventories.
  • Safety Procedures: Adhere to and enforce all safety protocols, promoting a secure working environment for all team members.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on grain handling equipment, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating repairs as needed.
  • Communication: Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with truck drivers, ensuring smooth and timely grain transactions.
  • Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate documentation related to grain shipments, including inspection reports and inventory records.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including safety standards, environmental requirements, and legal obligations.
Operations Tech Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in agriculture or related fields is a plus.
  • Proven experience in grain terminal operations or a similar agricultural setting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and troubleshoot grain handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of grain quality standards, inspection procedures, and inventory management.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and the ability to enforce safety measures effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with team members, truck drivers, and other stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours during peak seasons.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and computer systems is an asset.
