Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant - Test Lead with API Automation As a Principal Consultant specializing in Test Leadership with a focus on API Automation, you will play a pivotal role in driving quality assurance initiatives within our organization. Your expertise in leading testing efforts, particularly in API automation, will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our software solutions. Responsibilities . Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and methodologies, with a strong emphasis on API automation testing, to ensure the quality of software products. . Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, define test objectives, and prioritize testing activities. . Lead the planning, design, and execution of test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts for API testing, ensuring maximum test coverage and adherence to project timelines. . Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automation frameworks for API testing, leveraging industry best practices and tools to streamline testing processes. . Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the testing practice, implementing innovative approaches to enhance testing efficiency, effectiveness, and automation coverage. . Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards, processes, and methodologies, and champion best practices for testing, including API automation, across the organization. . Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and excellence within the testing team. . Identify and mitigate risks associated with testing activities, proactively addressing issues and challenges to minimize impact on project delivery. Qualifications we seek in you! Minimum Qualifications / Skills . Bachelor&rsquos or master&rsquos degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. . Extensive experience (X years) in software testing and quality assurance, with a focus on API automation testing. . Proven track record of leading testing efforts for complex software projects, including test planning, execution, and automation. . Strong expertise in API testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured) and proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript. . Deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices. . Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. . Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions. Preferred Qualifications/ Skills . Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) and API testing (e.g., Postman Certified API Developer). . Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Selenium). . Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture. . Familiarity with performance testing, security testing, and test data management techniques.
