Experienced frontend software engineer for the company’s internal central brokerage, CRM, trading, and information system. This internal system is the company’s flagship tool used for critical real-time trades and workflow by 1,000+ financial analysts worldwide and must respond quickly, accurately, and securely. In addition, it must meet the highest standards, including industry best practices, regulations, privacy, data integrity, accuracy, recovery, and present our brand
responsibly.This position will develop new features and refactor existing code on the existing
platform as well as work towards re-writing the application in a more modern
framework. The applicant must be able to working closely with peers, backend
developers, and product managers.The role requires working across multiple teams of developers. Applicant must be willing to aid development efforts across different teams and collaborate freely.Systems/Skills Required:
- Experience with JavaScript and a modern JS framework ( Vue, React, Angular, or
Svelte with a preference for Vue )
- Strong styling experience using CSS
o Experience with Sass is a plus
- Strong templating experience using HTML
- Proficient with distributed source control systems like Git, GitHub, Bitbucket.
o Experience using Git on larger projects with multiple teams a plus
- Strong experience debugging frontend with use of browser based debugging
tools, including but not limited to source debugging, network request analysis,
etc.
o Experience with Postman or curl is a plus
- Experience using data grid or data table libraries like jQuery Datatables, Slick
Grid, Kendo Grid, etc.
- Experience using charting libraries like Fusion Charts, Chart.js, etc
Fundamentals needed:
- Strong REST fundamentals
- Strong async behavior understanding
- Strong data structure fundamentals
- Ability to optimize existing JS or build with optimization in mind is a plus#LI-KH2
