Our distinct leadership development culture creates an empowered, entrepreneurial atmosphere where our leaders can grow, thrive, and belong.We are currently seeking a Casualty Claims Leader who will handle the management of insurance claims (except workers compensation) in the United States, collaborates with company executives, claim staff and TPA, and drives optimum results for key stakeholders. This role reports directly to the Director of Risk Management. The Casualty Claims Manager has an immediate impact on operating company financial results via expeditious and cost-effective claim settlements.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:To include, but not limited to the following:
  • Leadership of strategy and resolution of a portfolio of over 250 litigated/non-litigated claims across APi insurance program, including communication with Operating Company and APi Executive Leadership Team
  • Lead and direct APi insurance carriers, TPA, Operating Company Leadership, defense counsel and other parties as needed to drive claim strategy through resolution along with provide training to Operating Companies
  • Lead investigation of incidents while also interpreting coverage, evaluating liability and contractual obligations
  • Coordinate and lead quarterly and monthly claim reviews with operational company executive leadership, TPA, insurance carriers and APi insurance broker.
  • Leadership of insurance claim reserve analysis to ensure accuracy and drive resolution.
  • Settlement of all claims within $1M deductible and present decisions to key stakeholders and management.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders on Risk Management initiatives (Safety, Insurance Program and Claim Team Structure)
  • Advise North American Claims Manager of any exposure of $250,000 or more on any casualty claim.
  • Review any reserve or settlement request of $250,000 or more with North American Claims Manager prior to approval.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Department, or relevant field
  • 5-10 years in insurance, risk management and/or insurance claim management
  • Experience with management of litigated and non-litigated claims
  • Knowledge and experience across all lines of commercial claims and able to analyze coverage across multiple coverage lines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Computer proficiency to utilize Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS)

Benefits and Compensation:This role will be eligible for hybrid work flexibility based out of our New Brighton office. The pay range is $86,100 - $129,100, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
