- Write and develop compelling, engaging brand-building creative copy for online/interactive marketing projects and initiatives in our uniquely Universal brand expression and voice.
- Develop user-centered copy for digital interfaces, including websites, mobile apps, and other digital platforms, that aligns with Universal’s brand voice and tone.
- Create clear, concise, and engaging microcopy for interface elements such as buttons, error messages, tooltips, and notifications.
- Optimizes copy to drive specific conversion actions/events.
- Edit copy from contributing creative teams to optimize for digital best practices.
- Collaborate with UXUI Designers, Developers, Product and Marketing stakeholders to understand user needs and ensure copy strategy, tone, and style are consistent with visual tone and style of all brand and product marketing initiatives.
- Proactive with marketing industry trends, strategies and actively applies user research to drive copy decisions.
- Works as part of the Global UXUI team, leveraging the Global Design System and interfacing with the Digital and Technology colleagues as well as Marketing teams on a frequent basis to respond to specific project needs.
- Functioning in an environment that leverages an online content management system and template-based website structure.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks under established deadlines.
- Provide copy content in a manner sufficient for designers and publishers to execute.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform content strategy and ensure that copy resonates with target audiences.
- Have a passion for refining content based on testing practices and results, collaborating directly with research and testing teams as well as product development, and marketing teams.
- Value data/insight over subjective opinion, by basing decisions on metrics, segment data, and user research findings and insights.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- 4+ years of experience as a UX copywriter or content designer in the digital space, preferably in direct-to-consumer Marketing and Advertising with a strong creative portfolio showcasing your work.
- Experience with agile methodologies and working in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication – must be able to present an analytical point-of-view clearly and concisely to multiple stakeholders and influence creative and technical partners.
- Experience creating and documenting UI toolkits, style guides, and front-end frameworks for design and development teams.
- Experience leading projects with cross functional teams
- Some experience in workshop and training facilitation preferred.
