Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and create drawings as needed to support Mold and Assembly Machine requirements.Maintain spare part inventories used for mold repair and maintenance.Work with suppliers in component quoting and lead times.Perform incoming inspections on mold components.Clean, evaluate, maintain, repair, and convert injection molds.Work with outside tool shops and vendors when necessary to schedule and track tool repairs and preventive maintenance.Contribute suggestions to improve mold efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.Complete projects to schedule as assigned by the Tool Room Lead / Supervisor.Work safely and maintain molds and equipment to operate as designed.Sets up and operates Tool Room equipment including ID, OD, and Surface Grinders.Sets up and operates CNC Mills, CNC Lathe, saw, manual mill and lathes.Participate in continuous education / training to improve tooling knowledge and skills.Maintain service records in compliance with FDA & ISO standards.Determine root cause when addressing major tool damage / failure. Report findings to the Tool Room Lead.Perform mold preventive maintenance as scheduled to achieve 100% on-time completion.Respond to manufacturing demands appropriately.
