Job Description:The Designer, Store Design Architect supports the regional design manager and is responsible for design development, project presentation materials, project communications, design and quality control with a creative approach. Successful candidate will have strong conceptual thinking but also must be detailed oriented with demonstrated technical work experience and fluency in reading and reviewing detailed drawing sets. This role involves activities throughout every stage of the design process, including production of schematic design, review of DD, CD drawing sets, construction and shop drawing sets. Must demonstrate experience in working on several projects in parallel in different design stages. This role will work closely with the interior design team to ensure consistency and high standard quality level.Key AccountabilitiesDesign
  • Develop and refine design concepts based on the creative direction from Senior Management.
  • Define and frame design challenges, focusing team efforts on solutions aligned with the brand vision and intent.
  • Deliver an exciting customer experience.
Production
  • Develop presentation plans in CAD.
  • Create and maintain project visuals and imagery.
  • Compile and maintain presentation decks.
  • Communicate concisely to review issues and design solutions within Design Review meetings.
  • Produce project briefing packages for external parties and local architects.
  • Produce sketches, diagrams, details, collect references to convey the design intent from concept to the depth of details.
Construction Administration
  • Collaborate with local architect teams and consultants throughout the detail design stages and with contractors during shop drawing and construction phase.
  • Answering Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Review and comment detailed design drawing sets to ensure that the brand standards and quality are met and the design concept is intact at every step of the design development process.
  • Review contractor shop drawings (fit out, millwork, façade) for the same purpose.
Team Collaboration
  • Create a positive, innovative and collaborative culture at the workplace.
  • Attend team and project meetings.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with internal departments and external design partners.
Required Qualifications
  • Professional degree in Architecture
  • 7 years minimum post graduate architectural experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign
  • Proficiency in hand sketching
The hiring range for this position ranges from $97,665 - $132,135. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates' relevant skills and experience.
