  • Timely Processing of all assigned cases to ensure final action is attained without delay to the investigator.
  • Conducting investigations following established standards, procedures and quality requirements of the SCHAC
  • Determining eligibility and jurisdiction of cases.
  • Updating investigation notes daily in teapots system.
  • Providing information, advice and assistance regarding individual's rights and general provisions and obligations to respondents, complainants, various groups and organizations.
  • Participating in trainings. workshops and meetings as required.
A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience
  • Experience or knowledge of investigating of housing complaints.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; computer skills.
  • Ability to readily establish rapport with diverse individuals and maintain control of situations of extreme sensitivity.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Some outreach is required and paid for by the agency.
  • National Fair Housing Training Academy attendance and other training are required.
