Electrical Project ManagerPrimary Functions:We are seeking to employ a dynamic individual to provide overall management direction on one or more construction projects. The candidate will play a key role in our West Texas expansion.Key Responsibilities:Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Ensures that every project is completed with ZERO safety incidents and that every employee uses the required PPE.
  • Partners with HSE to ensure all workplace incidents and accidents are reported immediately and that proper procedures are followed.
  • Manages all site(s) employees to ensure productivity measures are met, along with Caliber policies and procedures.
  • These include planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical support in addition to traditional Project Management tasks
  • Directing budget and cost controls, financial analysis, accounting responsibilities and reports
  • Assume primary leadership responsibilities for each assigned project in partnership with the designated project superintendent / foreman.
  • Evaluate the contractual scope of work. Plan, organize and assist with the staffing of project positions through coordination with Human Resources department.
  • Verifies daily safety meetings and ensures required documentation, such as TSAs, JSAs, and safety sign-in sheets are completed and submitted.
  • Works with Procurement to order and then ultimately ensure timely delivery of materials needed.
  • Separates out material vs. tools/equipment and maintains accordingly
  • Must maintain material management plan – both Caliber’s and client-provided.
  • Maintains Caliber's tool inventory process.
  • Demonstrated experience in reading construction drawings, ISOs, P&IDs, and specifications; above and below-ground installation.
  • Ensures the receiving of client-owned material is QA’d.
  • Partners closely with QA/QC to ensure all inspection of work is completed and signed-off accordingly. Any needed corrections of the work are documented and reported accordingly.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of Caliber’s corporate policy.
  • Monitor/control project development through administrative direction of on-site project superintendent/ foreman. Prepare, issue and update master project schedule and variance reports to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget.
  • Actively pursue additional work through change orders.
  • Ensure project document controls follow contract requirements and Caliber standards.
  • Attend job progress meetings as required.
  • Develop and maintain viable long-term relationships with customers, consultants, prime contractors and subcontractors.
  • Perform additional assignments as requested/needed.
The successful applicant will have the following qualifications:
  • 5-yr electrical supervisory construction experience.
  • Solid experience (5 years) and knowledge of working field experience.
  • Proficient project management skills, including:
  • documentation
  • cost control
  • procurement
  • scheduling
  • change order pricing
  • negotiating
  • Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc., and their impact on project activities.
  • OSHA-30 certification (if not currently certified, must be obtained within two (2) months from date of hire).
