RJM offers general contracting, construction management, design/build, and preconstruction services and has an annual construction volume of approximately $250 million.We have an Information Technology Manageropening!Purpose:This role provides thought leadership in supporting the realization of RJM's strategy by optimizing our technology systems, collaborating with other business leaders across departments to achieve objectives, optimize processes, and ensure high-quality training and resources are available for team members to maximize Company performance.Role and ResponsibilitiesKey to this role is your ability to think strategically, build cross-functional relationships, apply critical thinking skills, and take the initiative to drive results. You will partner with stakeholders across the business to drive innovation, and enable progress through our technology platforms, business processes, and teams. Technical expertise, data analysis, a process improvement mindset, and strong communication skills are required to ensure the accurate and efficient flow of information within the organization. As a successful IT Leader, you will be comfortable using your influence to enhance technology operations at RJM.Some things you can expect to do:Participate in corporate initiatives and strategic planning; develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Information Technology aligned with organizational goals and objectives.Stay abreast of the evolving external IT landscape, technologically and operationally using compliance-based best practices that best support our growing business.Build a culture of excellence, innovation and continuous learning on the IT Team. Providing guidance, support, coaching and timely feedback to ensure continuing individual development and support in the design anddelivery of technology solutions.Manage IT team costs including but not limited to, personnel, vendor management, and applications. Demonstrate financial acumen by creating sound capital and expense budgets and managing payment processes within terms.Act as a thought leader and subject matter expert, providing guidance on commercial issues and market trends.Develop and implement robust measurement tools to evaluate effectiveness, improving data-driven decision making.Provide oversight of all aspects of end-user computing services including endpoint computing platforms (laptops/desktops/virtual desktops), mobile devices, tablets and mobility services, application packaging and management, print collaboration tools and future technologies that would fall into the realm of IT services.Own and understand aspects of cybersecurity to continue to keep company data and assets safe and secure from threats.Establish highly collaborative relationships across internal stakeholders to understand their technology needs. Align appropriate solutions, and partner on strategy execution, including change management, to accomplish objectives.Serve as key leader in Enterprise-level governance, identifying unneeded duplicity, connections and efficiencies between systems. Uncover practices within the company and elsewhere that can be leveraged for collaborative success.Provide oversight of IT projects, such as system implementations, integrations, or process improvements. Regularly review project activities, costs, operations, monthly financial forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives.Support business leaders in the development of key reports necessary for running the business; providing expertise in report-writing capabilities not held within individual business teams.Manage third-party vendors, current contracts, and understand vendor technical roadmaps translating them into plans to stay on supported and secure platforms.Coordinate timely updates to IT systems documentation, policies, and procedures and communications to the greater RJM team as necessary.Understand, represent and model the vision and organizational strategy of Senior Management initiatives identified as high priorityDevelop, execute, and manage key strategic departmental communications.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation:Bachelor's degree preferred or commensurate employment experiencePreference for Computer Science, Management Information Systems,Cybersecurity emphasis, or similarWork Experience:7+ years of experience in technology solutions roles or having experience planning and executing technology implementation projects3-5 years of experience leading IT teamsExperience within the Construction industry is preferred, not requiredTechnical Competency:Strong understanding of data management principlesStrong knowledge of cybersecurity software and best practicesProficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, SharePoint, and OneDrive and Windows Operating SystemPreference given for experience with Construction industry software (e.g. Procore, Viewpoint Vista, Cosential, Sage, Bluebeam, etc.)Demonstrated Professional Competencies include:Curious, data driven, continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated problem-solving skillsStrong technical andbusiness competencies with financial background acumenSkill in fostering collaboration and teamwork across diverse stakeholders and departments to achieve common objectives.Excellent written and oral communication, active listening skills and feedback oriented.
