- Performs general nursing care to patients. Adjusts and/or administers prescribed medication and treatment in accordance with nursing standards and physician/provider's orders.
- Responds to all incoming telephone calls and patient needs. Interpret patient's symptoms and communicates them to the physician. Assess the patient's needs to provide the best care and advice.
- Collaborates with physicians and nurses to devise individual care plans for patients.
- Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections, ect) and documents findings in the patient's medical record.
- Inspect the facility and equipment and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, ect)
- Maintaining personal contact with patients and relatives, being sensitive to their needs for courtesy, dignity, and privacy and ensuring a friendly environment at all times.
- Storing and checking medication in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
- Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for professional practice and continued professional growth. Attends all in-services and meetings as appropriate.
- Correctly prepares and administers medication. Uses patient identifiers prior to administration of medication. Documents administration in required logs.
- Greets patients and prepares them for physician examination. Screens patients for appropriate information. Instructs patients in collection of samples and tests.
- When applicable, performs basic x-rays or assists Radiology Technician with x-ray set up.
- Oversees appointment bookings and ensures preferences are given to patients in emergency situations. Maintains timely flow of patients and results.
- Maintains and reviews patient records, charts and other pertinent information. Posts tests and examination results.
- Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must possess a current License as a Licensed Practical Nurse for state of employment (Kansas). Must obtain and maintain a current certification in BLS. IV certification preferred
- Desirable characteristics include at least two years of experience as an LPN in a clinical/family practice setting.
- Must be able to follow directions and perform work according to clinic standards when no directions are given
- Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress. Knowledge of venipuncture, lab processes supervision, xray support, FP office procedures, EKG, and clinical protocol surveillance and supervision.
- Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care according to individual needs.
- Knowledge of EMR system.
- Must demonstrate consistent professional conduct.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff and other health care professionals.

- Compensation is determined by the amount of experience and is in the range of $20.19 - $26.44 per hour.
