- Responsible for meeting all departmental and central Payroll deadlines and ensuring members are paid correctly.
- Review timesheets and leave request documents for accuracy and proper approvals.
- Enter exception hours and leave taken in timekeeping system.
- Conduct timekeeping QA prior to payroll close to ensure payroll data is accurate.
- Run payroll reports and review and reconcile payroll data.
- Complete and submit payouts and time adjustments to Payroll Supervisor by set deadlines.
- Enter Historical Corrections as needed.
- Enter Workers’ Compensation, Short-term Disability and FMLA hours into timekeeping system.
- Maintain accurate, secure and up-to-date payroll files.
- Address employee questions and concerns, providing excellent quality customer service to internal and external clients.
- Work collaboratively with City Payroll and Human Resources departments to resolve issues.
- Provide timesheet and leave slip training as needed.
- Assist others in reviewing and reconciling payroll data entry.
