- Work hand and hand with the Marketing Product Innovation Team in the discovery, concept develop, and testing of new product technologies and solutions.
- Conceive, research, plan, design, develop, and implement (into Production) new products and systems.
- Collaborate with Product Development Engineers to create product system requirements, develop product solutions, create verification and validation procedures.
- Identify new product opportunities through formal discovery process.
- Discover product design technologies - vendors, industry/trade conferences, customer meetings, etc.
- Evaluate external and internal product concepts.
- Engage adjacent industries in pursuit of product technology.
- Develop product concept prototypes.
- Provide direction to Innovation support staff in concept development.
- Interface with Product Engineers to vet product performance requirements, verification test procedures, manufacturing process technologies, etc.
- Perform product competitive analysis.
- Leverage industry expertise in analytical modeling, computational analysis, rapid prototyping.
- Plan and direct support personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment and develops methods and procedures for testing products or systems.
- Manage development projects to their completion by documenting and transferring manufacturing data to the Production Organization.
- Possess and apply a comprehensive engineering knowledge applicable to the design, development and testing of ammunition products.
- Prepares technical reports for use by Engineering or Management personnel for long- and short-range planning or for use by Marketing personnel in sales or technical services activities.
- B.S. in Engineering or Science from an accredited or nationally recognized college or university
- A minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient with CAD/CAM/CAE software, preferably SolidWorks, finite element analysis and mechanical simulation programs a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft PC based software.
- Program management skills.
- Background in ammunition development, ballistics, firearms, and related processes.
- Experience related to military service, hunting, competitive shooting, and reloading.

- Firearms and ammunition related experience a plus.
