- Collaborating with the Kerry sales teams, working as a team to develop new opportunities and drive business growth for FP&P with key identified strategic accounts in the region. Targeting R&D, Marketing and Procurement within the customer as necessary to drive projects.
- Effective communication of the technical benefits of Kerry's Food Protection and Preservation offerings within Kerry and to existing and potential customers with appropriate follow- up on day-to day customer queries and communication of key action points to relevant personnel.
- Subject matter expertise on the correct application of the FP&P technologies, being able to advise and assist the customer through trials to maximize success.
- Coordination of technical and commercial support for Kerry's existing Food Protection and Preservation business in Mexico.
- Development of Business Strategy & Plans: Accountable for achieving a deep level of understanding of customers objectives and strategies, competitive intelligence, market trends (including changes in regulatory environment), consumer insights, and identification of opportunity spaces. The objective is to translate these into actionable business plans that will achieve significant value creation for Kerry and the customer. Technical Business Development will be responsible for the execution of such plans/ strategies.
- Commercial Support of EUM Sales Teams: a) Develop value propositions/ customer facing communications/ presentations for specific customer opportunities. b) provide product specific information needed to support sales opportunities, c) ensure that pricing information is provided on a timely basis, d) conduct product training (group and one-on-one, e) other misc. sales support.
- Identification of New Opportunity Spaces: Play a key role in the team to develop new FP&P solutions, ensuring we translate intelligence gained with customers into new solutions that address customer's needs into the future.
- University degree in Microbiology, Food/Nutrition Science, Chemistry/ Biology, or related field from an accredited institution.
- Market experience - the successful candidate will have experience in a similar commercial sales/business development role.
- Experience in the food industry is essential.
- Must be capable of independently developing a strategy, influencing others and increasing contribution.
- Good working knowledge of relevant Regulatory requirements
- Strong demonstrated negotiation skills
- Fluent English speaker
- This role requires regular travel.
